"Any interference in Hormuz will receive a harsh response"/ Iran responds to Trump's statements

Iran has reacted to US President Donald Trump's statements on the Strait of Hormuz, warning that they will not allow United States interference in the management of this strategic maritime corridor.

The Iranian Armed Forces Command called on regional countries not to support US military operations, warning that any cooperation with Washington would be seen as a threat to Iran's sovereignty and national security.

"We do not and will not allow the United States to interfere in the management of the Strait of Hormuz ," declared Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Iranian military headquarters "Khatam al-Anbiya".

He warned that Iranian forces would react "severely" to any action that, in his opinion, undermines the security of this strategic waterway. /CNA
