Last day of trial/ Thaçi's lawyer: ZPS hid evidence until the final

Hashim Thaçi's lawyer, Luka Misetic, delivered his speech on the last day of the trial of the former KLA leaders. Misetic stated that the ZPS hid evidence until the final file and is now changing the presentation of evidence in an attempt to fill in the gaps.

The lawyer said that his client, Hashim Thaçi, cannot object to evidence that was not even presented by the SPO, but was only mentioned in their rebuttals.

Misetic stated that instead of providing explanations, the prosecution tried to change its approach.

 

"Another huge problem is the presentation of evidence and the legal argumentation of the SPO, which they do by hiding the evidence until the final file."

The SPO is changing the presentation of evidence in an attempt to fill in the gaps. We have analyzed the footnotes regarding the two meetings, the SPO claims that there were many more. Thaçi cannot be expected to object to evidence that was not presented by the SPO. The prosecution has not mentioned any of the meetings, it has only mentioned them in their rebuttals.

"Instead of giving us explanations, the ZPS tried to change its approach. The only way to interpret the ZPS's position is that it does not consider Zyrap a member of the ZPH. Zyrap has not at any time informed that he was informed about a policy in the general staff ," Misetic said.
