The chief negotiators of Kosovo and Serbia, Besnik Bislimi and Petar Petkovic, are meeting today in Brussels, as part of the dialogue for the normalization of relations, mediated by the European Union.

The spokesperson of the EU, Peter Stano, warned that at the top of the agenda of the discussions will be the urgent implementation of the Agreement on the path to the normalization of relations.

The agreement was reached last year, but was not implemented.

She, among other things, asks Kosovo to offer a level of self-management to the Serbian community, while Serbia not to hinder Kosovo's membership in international organizations.

For its implementation, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, were called to Brussels last week.

However, Kurti made several demands for the continuation of the dialogue - including the signing of the agreement and the handover of Milan Radoicic - which Vucic did not accept.

Radoicic took responsibility for organizing an armed attack in Kosovo - last September - where a policeman was killed.

He is believed to be at large in Serbia.

Expectations that Bislimi and Petkovic will agree on anything are not high.

Several rounds of talks between them on the banning of the Serbian dinar in Kosovo ended in May without any agreement.

The normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia is a condition for both to advance on the path of European integration./REL
