Trump was born on June 14, 1946, in the Queens neighborhood of New York City.

Donald John Trump is a politician, businessman, and former president of the United States who served as the 45th President of the United States from 2017 to 2021 and is the current president-elect following the 2024 election. He took office as the 47th President on January 20, 2025.

A member of the Republican Party, Trump is the first president in US history without prior military or government experience, and only the second to be elected twice in non-consecutive terms, after Grover Cleveland in 1892.

In June 2015, Trump announced his candidacy for the next president of the United States. On November 8, 2016, he was elected as the 45th president of the United States, defeating Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. He took office on January 20, 2017. In terms of age, Trump is the oldest president in U.S. history.

He was born and raised in New York and received his Bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968.

Trump began his career in business as the heir to properties left by his father to him and his other brothers and their children.

In a statement, he said that he started his career with a $1 million debt from his father. At the time of his presidential candidacy, his officially declared wealth was $8,737,540,000.

The main assets of his wealth include numerous buildings and real estate.
