"We knew about the attack"/ Trump: I tried to save Iran from humiliation and death

US President Donald Trump, in a reaction to Reuters, admitted that he was aware of the attack that Israel would carry out on Iran.

The president told Reuters that he is not concerned about the outbreak of a regional war in the Middle East.

"The US knew all about Israel's attack on Iran. I tried to save Iran from humiliation and death."

"I tried really hard to save them because I would have really liked to have seen a deal reached. They can still reach a deal, it's not too late," he said.

US special envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to meet with an Iranian delegation in Oman on Sunday.

He said the US still has a meeting scheduled with Iranian officials on Sunday, but he is not sure if it will take place./ CNA
