Attack with 3 victims in Germany/ Police arrest another person

German police have arrested one of the aggressors who killed three people and injured eight others during a knife attack in the western city of Solingen, the BBC reports. 

"The man we were really looking for all day has just been arrested," Herbert Reul, the interior minister of the state of Rhine-Westphalia, told public broadcaster ARD. 

It was the third arrest on Saturday after the knife attack that shocked Germany.

The minister did not give details, but German news websites Bild and Spiegel reported that the suspect, in blood-stained clothes, had surrendered.

Two men, aged 56 and 67, and a 56-year-old woman were stabbed to death during a festival in what Chancellor Olaf Scholz described as a "horrific act".

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack on Saturday. /CNA
