Fire in Shkodër/ Traders seek help: Millions of Lek goods were burnt
The intervention of the Ministry of Defense in extinguishing the flames

Yesterday, a massive fire broke out in the used clothes market in Shkodër, where several apartments were burnt down. 

In an exit for the media, dozens of traders have asked for help, as all the goods they had were burnt.

"I have been trading for 20 or so years. We had millions of goods. We do not know the cause of the fire. We were at home. Why do I need a reason when everything is broken? The state should make the market and tell us you have it here. Where was the state when we were forced to enter it?", says a trader.

While another says:  "We have a house, we have a family and they want bread. The state wants lights and water". 

The flames were brought under control late yesterday, but were completely extinguished in the early hours of the morning with the intervention of the Ministry of Defense. /CNA
