Today's protest in front of the Municipality of Tirana lasted 1 hour, where there were tensions between the protesters and the police. The latter tried to remove the metal fences around the building of this institution, but were not allowed by the police. 

The protesters burned tires, threw flares in the direction of the municipality and expressed their determination to remove Veliaj from the building. 

The protest was accompanied by calls of thief, criminal, bastard, stench, referring to the mayor. The police threw water at the protesters. Former MP Klevis Balliu was injured. 

Today was the 12th protest that took place in front of Tirana City Hall, the second in a week. 

The next protest against Veliaj is expected to take place next Friday, June 21, at 11:00. Below is the photo gallery taken by LSA, which clearly shows the situation in the protest.  /CNA
