The mufti of Korça calls on the faithful who have the financial means to sacrifice a sheep as a sign of gratitude to God, to feed his family and to distribute to others.

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Merciful!

Dear Muslim believers of Korça District, sisters and brothers!

Allow me on this eve of Kurban Bayram to convey my most heartfelt wishes, may this holiday bring peace, happiness and joy to your families.

Kurban Bayram is one of the two major holidays that unites the hearts of Muslim women all over the world. It brings to mind Ibrahim's sacrifice and Ishmael's submission to the Lord of the worlds as well as the proper parent-child relationship.

Let's be thankful for all the goodness and prosperity that we have as a gift from our God, and be generous by showing solidarity with people in need.

Whoever has the financial means should sacrifice a sheep as a sign of gratitude to God, feed his family and distribute to others, as is also the message of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

Sisters and brothers!

On Saturday, dt. June 15, 2024, is the day of Arafat when pilgrims in Mecca gather in the area of ??Arafat to pray. Other believers can fast on this day and the Prophet does not inform us that the revelation of fasting on this day is that the sins of the previous year and the next year are forgiven.

The holiday of Kurban Bayram is on Sunday, dt. June 16, 2024. The prayer ceremony for the Eid al-Adha prayer for the city of Korce will take place in front of the courtyard of the old "Iljas Bey Mirahori" mosque, while in other areas in the respective mosques.

All believers, men and women, children and the elderly, are welcome to participate in the Eid prayer ceremony, which begins at 06.00 with lectures and culminates with the Eid prayer at 06.30.

The ceremony of reception and congratulations will take place in the premises of the Korçë Palace between 10.00 and 12.00.

I pray to the Almighty God that this holiday brings to the homes of Albanians, more kindness, closeness and love between each other, for the benefit of society, the nation and all humanity.
