The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, has shared a reaction regarding the fire situation that engulfed the Soda Forest this afternoon.

Through a post on social media, Lamallari announced that fires in this part of Vlora and in several other areas have brought difficult times, while emphasizing that structures are on the ground and are working to bring the flames under control.

"Difficult times in Vlora due to fires in the Soda Forest and several other areas.

We are monitoring the situation at all times in coordination with all structures on the ground that are working to bring the flames under control.

I thank every employee who is facing this difficult situation with professionalism and dedication.

We also thank local structures and local residents for their commitment. Our priority remains the protection of citizens' lives, homes and natural resources.
