Fire/Director of QSUT: Emergency cases will be treated at the Trauma and

The director of QSUT, Albana Fico, spoke to the media about the fire that occurred this morning in the new Emergency.

Fico said in a statement to the media that there are no injuries and that all patients have been moved to other facilities of the QSUT.

She announced that the fire started due to a defect in a technical room that is being monitored.

"All the patients on the upper floor, which also belongs to the emergency, are systematized and followed by the emergency team and the relevant services at QSUT. There was no loss of life and no deterioration. There is still a technical alarm signal indicating that this building has high security elements that make it possible for patients to be safe.

There was a fault in a technical room that is being monitored. The technical group together with the maintenance of QSUT is in control of every type of element. It is a damage limited to only one technical room. It didn't touch anything else," she said, while making it known that there are no problems with the imaging equipment.

Also, the director of QSUT stated that all emergency cases will be handled by Trauma and "Shefqet Ndroqi".

"The central hospital treats the most serious cases. The services have taken their own measures. We have patients who, for higher security, we have moved inside the QSUT. There is no change in their parameters, they are being treated. Let's not forget that the QSUT has the plan of the emergency. The most important thing immediately after addressing the first moment, was the reorganization. Immediately a flash meeting was held where all the other steps were marked. We continued to share emergency services with Trauma and 'Shefqet Ndroqin', they will be diverted emergencies in these two hospitals", stressed Fico./ CNA
