May 14 elections/ Ballot characteristics are approved

The Regulatory Commission at today's meeting

The Regulatory Commission reviewed and approved with 5 votes in favor the draft decision on the technical characteristics of the ballots that will be used in the elections of May 14, 2023.

For the elections for the local government bodies, the voter votes with two ballots of the same shape and different colors, one for the chairman of the local government unit and one for the municipality council.

Ballot papers shall be made of paper, with color, thickness or configuration elements such that they do not allow the vote to be read on its back, as well as contain security elements.

In addition to the security elements of the paper, the ballot will also contain some technical elements in the form of codes that identify the electoral area, the voting center as well as other identifying elements that cannot be read with the naked eye (barcode)./ CNA.al
