Today, doctor Gjergji Gjata was officially presented as a candidate for mayor of Korça. His presentation as a candidate for the Municipality of Korça was made in the presence of Enkelejd Alibeaj.

Gjergji Gjata was born in 1971. He completed his higher studies in medicine, after which he specialized in obstetrics - gynecology, where since 2000 he has been working in the hospital of Korça as a gynecologist.

Doctor Gjergji is a student of Djetori, a fact he says with pride, showing that he was an active participant along with many other students.

Në një intervistë për CNA, Gjata është shprehur optimist për të ardhmen e PD-së.

"Sot forca politike që unë kam prosperuar që në rininë time, PD, është në një moment të vështirë, por mendoj që do të vijë një ditë që PD do bashkohet. Nëse do ndodhë para apo pas zgjedhjeve lokale, kjo do mbetet për t'u parë, por duhet një e djathtë e bashkuar para këtij regjimi dhe është domosdoshmëri. Të gjitha palët mendoj që duhet të reflektojnë, në mënyrë që jo vetëm të dalin me një kandidat nëse do ishte e mundur, por edhe të mendojmë për më tej, për 2025 që nuk është larg”, ka deklaruar ai.

Në mesazhin e tij për qytetarët korçarë, Gjergji Gjata tha se beson tek bashkimi i të djathtës, ndërsa theksoi se nuk ka ndërmend të përçajë votën e të djathtëve, por përkudnrazi do ta maksimalizojë.
