May 11th Elections/ State Police on standby to guard election facilities

The State Police services planned for the service of guarding electoral facilities were presented at 18:00 on 10.05.2025, to take custody of all electoral facilities throughout the country, where the taking of electoral facilities for delivery in some areas is still ongoing.

This service will continue uninterrupted until the morning of 11.05.2025, when the Voting Center and Zonal Electoral Administration Commissions will begin work.

In view of this, a total of 5,318 police officers have been planned, who have been engaged to guarantee security in 93 CEAZs and 5,225 Voting Centers, throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania.

A Central Steering and Monitoring Group has been established at the General Directorate of the State Police, which is in constant contact and full coordination with the 12 steering groups established in each Local Police Directorate. These structures monitor in real time the situation reported to them by the structures on the ground, follow the implementation of operational tasks and process information, to guarantee full transparency.

The State Police remains fully prepared to fulfill with professionalism and integrity the duties set forth in the Law on the State Police and the Electoral Code. /CNA
