Guaranteeing order and security on May 11/ Police briefing concludes in

Within the framework of the plan of measures approved by the General Directorate of the State Police, the Korça Local Police Directorate and the subordinate Police Stations have completed the instruction of employees engaged in guarding electoral facilities, with the aim of guaranteeing a peaceful and safe electoral process.

Each employee has been trained and provided with a pocket book and identification document, according to the code number. The list of employees and means engaged has been approved by the CEC.

Steering groups at the Police Station and the Coordination Group at the DVP have been established to monitor the progress of the process in real time and to manage any situation, in accordance with the special plan of measures.

For each VC in the territory of the district, Police officers with clear responsibilities and contacts have been designated, reflected on the digital map, to guarantee rapid intervention and actions according to the law.

During today, all VCs will be taken into custody, while the facilities that serve as CEAZs have already been under police custody since the moment the election materials arrived.

Tomorrow morning, after the commissions hand over the objects, the Police officers will temporarily withdraw and will return at 19:00 to escort the materials to the CEAZs.

At 18:00 on 11.05.2025, the Police will take custody of all BCCs and will remain on duty until the count is fully completed.

Ready groups have been created at every police station and at the DVP for immediate response to any case presented during voting day or in the subsequent phase.

During this briefing, the Director of the DVP conveyed to the Police employees the message of the General Director of the State Police, Director Madhor Ilir Proda, who thanked them for the dedication and professionalism shown so far, and encouraged them to bring this process to a successful conclusion with prudence, composure and maximum dedication, while preserving the image and credibility of the State Police in the eyes of citizens and international partners.
