Election of the Presidency and Head of the National Council of the Democratic Party of Albania / Counting of votes begins

The vote counting process for the head of the National Council and members of the new Presidency of the Democratic Party has begun.

Members of the new National Council participated in the process. The National Council will be led by a woman, while the two names of the candidates are Julia Emiri and Silva Hasaj.

The voting process was conducted through a categorized division to ensure, as the chief democrat said, the broadest possible representation.

According to the proposed list, the members of the National Council vote to elect 20 new members of the Presidency. The voting is divided into 15 female candidates, 6 will be elected, 25 young men will be elected, and 8 of them will be elected from 21 men.

The process is being managed by an electoral commission headed by Gazment Bardhi, with members Ivi Kaso and Nada Meçorapja. /CNA
