The US ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, held a meeting today with the head of the High Inspectorate of Justice, Artun Metani.
The embassy in its official announcement on social networks has emphasized the important role of the ILD in the supervision of judges and prosecutors.
Among other things, the embassy has expressed the continued support of the USA to the institutions of justice in Albania.
"US Ambassador Yuri Kim met today with the High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani, who heads one of the key institutions of justice reform. The role of the ILD in supervising the discipline of judges, prosecutors and council members is fundamentally critical for the justice system in Albania. The US will continue to help strengthen the institutions of justice in Albania, such as the ILD, as they are strengthened to further Albania's integration into the EU," the embassy's announcement reads./ CNA.al
