The WCC thanks His Beatitude Anastas for 30 years at the head of the Orthodox

Acting General Secretary of the WCC, Rev. Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca thanked for the great achievements of Archbishop Anastas Janullato.

"We thank God,

happiness,

For all your efforts during three decades to bring the Orthodox Church of Albania from darkness to the light of Christ, from death to the resurrection of Christ, from total destruction to an exemplary growth of Christ.

We are deeply grateful to God for the erudite scholar, the ardent missionary, the loving and caring good pastor, the world-renowned and respected man of dialogue and the messenger of peace, reconciliation and love in interfaith and international forums," said Sauca.

Sauca expressed how grateful he is for Anastasio's 60 years in the ecumenical movement, beginning at the World Conference on Mission and Evangelization in Mexico City in 1961. 

"You have walked with us, you have opened new horizons for us in our missionary vocation, you have guided us and generously shared your wisdom with us, you have inspired us with your true and enthusiastic commitment to the Gospel", said Sauca. /CNA.al
