Former prison officer Gentian Bejtja was executed 5 days ago in the yard of his apartment in Larushk.

After 5 days, Interior Minister Taulant Balla woke up to talk about the criminal event.

Balla congratulated the State Police for the work done so far with the investigation of the incident.

The minister says that the perpetrators or the initiators of criminal events can hide for a while, inside and outside the country, but the duty of the State Police is to find them wherever they are hiding and bring them to justice.

"The duty of the State Police is to prevent or solve any criminal event and bring the culprits to justice. I have just congratulated the leaders of the Tirana Local Police Directorate for the investigative work so far in the direction of clarifying the criminal event a few days ago in Fushë-Krujë.

I also expect results in terms of identifying the perpetrators of the events in Vlorë, Lezhë and Shkodër. Authors or orderers of criminal events can hide for a while, inside and outside the country, they can try to avoid extradition, but the duty of the State Police is to find them wherever they are hiding and bring them to justice.

This requires continuous investigative work and cooperation with partner agencies and citizens, whose information is very valuable. Two persons wanted by justice have been detained/extradited during the last 24 hours", Balla wrote on social networks./ CNA
