The incident with Ambrozia Meta/ Association of journalists: Feeling, the least

The Association of Professional Journalists of Albania expresses its deep concern for the physical intimidation that Prime Minister Edi Rama did to journalist Ambrozia Meta, of Syri TV, who asked her a question during his communication with the media, regarding the public benefits of the already announced investment in the island of Sazan.

The gesture of the prime minister, who touched the journalist's face with his hand, refusing to answer her question, was a clear violation of the physical integrity of the journalist, an abnormal and unacceptable behavior in any kind of professional relationship.

The Association of Professional Journalists of Albania expresses solidarity with colleague Ambrozia Meta, who has also faced intimidating behavior from the Prime Minister, just because she is doing her duty, asking the Prime Minister questions about matters of public interest.

Public sentiment is the least the prime minister can do, together with the reflection that respect for the freedom of the media and its inviolability make the difference between being a democratic or autocratic state./CNA
