The High Inspectorate of Justice has requested information from the Prosecutor's Office and the Court of Korça in order to verify the procedures that have been followed for the investigation of the murder of Egli Proga, which happened on August 10. 

Many doubts have arisen regarding this event, since the Korca Prosecutor's Office changed the charge against 28-year-old Denis Meçe from 'intentional murder' to 'negligent murder'.

There was also a reaction from the Court of Korça, where it was underlined that the judge of the case has respected the law and it is emphasized that at the current stage she cannot change the criminal offense for which the person under investigation is being prosecuted nor set a security measure heavier than the required one.

Thus, the Court of Korça has passed the responsibility to the Prosecutor's Office. 

Meanwhile, the head of the State Police Muhamet Rumbullaku said that there were no attempts to hide the incident and that the police acted in time to arrest the perpetrator and 3 other people./ CNA
