Rainfall continues/ How is the situation after the floods in the Korça

The Prefecture of Korça has provided updates regarding the situation in the municipalities of the region. According to information, rainfall in this region continues with low to medium intensity.

It is reported that work continues on the ground to repair and normalize the damaged axes. OSHEE has also announced that no problems have been reported in the territory of this region and that the electricity supply continues normally.

Rainfall continues at intervals, with low to medium intensity in the territory of the district.

Municipality of Maliq

During the field inspection, on the Lozhan-Mesmal axis, the clearing of the massif from the roadbed continues, with the aim of enabling passage for the four villages: Velçan, Selcë, Mesmal and Niçë.

In parallel, work is being carried out to collect inert materials on the bridges of the Devoll River, with the aim of placing them near the damaged area.

Work is also being done in the villages of Sovjan, Klocë and Vashtëmi.

After the rain stops, intervention will be made in the crack in the embankment to stabilize it.

Municipality of Kolonja

Interventions in these areas continue:

Rehova Field (Bllanje) intervention for terrain stabilization.

Taç village bridge – works are ongoing.

Qinam village bridge, intervention by the firm's contractors.

Municipality of Pogradec

Intensive field work continues.

The drafting of verbal reports is underway with the affected families, as new cases have been identified.

Problems in the Verdova and Rremenji Rivers, in three families where heavy vehicles do not have access. Work is being carried out with a 3.5 T mini-dredge of the private company "REI shpk", in cooperation with the administrative units.

According to reports so far, the road axes in the territory are passable.

Problems with the presence of water on the first floors of buildings in the "1 Maji" area have been identified in the city.

A request has been filed with the Albanian State Agency for Expertise regarding the Grunjas Reservoir.

A potentially risky rock mass has been identified at the entrance to the city of Pogradec, and measures have been taken to ensure the safety of the area.

From the field inspection, it was found that the entity "2T" continues intensive work to clear the rocky massif from the roadbed on the Qafë Plloçë - Qukës axis, with the aim of enabling safe and problem-free passage.

Devoll Municipality

Work is underway to clear the road segments in the villages of Vranisht, Pilur, Bitinckë and Tren.

The repair of the bridge in the village of Çetë continues.

Reservoir levels are at normal levels and no problems are reported.

Municipality of Pustec

Work continues to clean the stream in the village of Gorica.

Work is underway to improve the Lajthizë–Pustec road.
