Sadushi's interim decision/The opposition remains silent about the scandal

Economics expert Brisida Shehaj spoke today regarding the interim decision of the head of the High Court, Sokol Sadushi, which serves the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

In an interview for "Kafe Shqeto" on Syri TV, Shehaj said that these actions, which ultimately aim to release Erion Veliaj from prison, have been covered by CNA in several articles.

She further states that regarding this dangerous initiative of Sadushi, the opposition has not had any strong reaction.

"We heard this as news from all the writings that CNA has done. But I have not heard it strongly articulated as a problem by the opposition," said Shehaj.

Meanwhile, Democratic MP and former prosecutor, Arjan Ndoja, also expressed on the same show that Sadushi's actions only serve a few figures who are currently in prison.

"You know who is a sign of total authoritarianism in this country. It is an initiative by the High Court to unify judicial practice on security measures. This initiative will serve several figures who are currently in security measures. This is the latest blow from the High Court ," said Ndoja. /CNA
