Economic expert Brisida Shehaj commented today on the protest held yesterday and the opposition action. In a reaction on social media, Shehaj stated that the opposition urgently needs to respond to the country's needs in a vital connection with reality.
Among other things, she writes that the reality is that the opposition's votes are not enough to come to power. Regarding the protest, she says that there should be more and more people there, not only militants and supporters of the opposition, but also people tired and disappointed with the government.
Shehaj said that the turnout was lower not because people don't see and feel the problems, but because they don't see themselves as solutions. She further stated that for the good of Albania, the DP should do something more difficult than protesting. According to her, the DP should build trust.

Note.
This morning I was invited for a "Shqeto Coffee" by Flavio.
I accept his invitation every time with pleasure, because for me SYRI TV remains the only media space where you can express yourself freely and consume truths without censorship or permission from "above".
The topic we were invited to discuss today was opposition protests and opposition action. Which for me should be tools of hope and should be expanded more and more.
First of all, I want to clarify that I am not one of those people who have a passion for criticizing the opposition. This kind of sport has become an industry and it only takes "independent" mercenaries to do it with crazy dedication.
But for the situation we find ourselves in, silence is no longer neutrality, but complicity. For me, who have never been silent, taking on costs of any kind, it is inevitable, especially today, to have my say. Like every Albanian who never signed the contract of submission with this power.
To stay on point, I think that today the opposition urgently needs to respond to the needs of the country in a vital connection with reality.
And the reality is brutal in its simplicity: the opposition's votes today are not enough to come to power.
Personally, I am very clear that a political force is overthrown from power by vote, so I can never call for violence in protests. As was interpreted in the program with an imperceptible ease for the seriousness of the situation and my opinion.
Every political force comes to power through votes, and every political party must make these calculations precisely.
Why is the vote eroded?
This happens for a thousand and one reasons, long-standing oppositionism, depopulation, vote buying, organized crime. And yet, no matter how you put them together, this country consumes so many scandals and produces so much poverty and injustice that revolt had to translate into massive, broad-based support.
A kane qenë mbrëmë aty? A ishin më shumë se herën e kaluar?
The opposition cannot build a majority by reducing its minority. It cannot expand by excluding. If it does not open up, it will shrink. Not from the pressure of power, but from the limits it imposes on itself.
And to achieve this, it must urgently change its approach to the voter, it must reorganize itself in such a way as to represent all social strata, it must accept different opinions, internalizing them as part of its daily life.
I hope that this opinion of mine, free from any addiction or label, will be read properly and for what I desire with all my heart, as a person who has made the decision not to emigrate. But to do his own thing for Albania and our children.
PS As soon as I closed the connection with the studio, I opened the news. The first thing that appeared to me: Ilir Babaramos' dismissal from his job because he criticized the government.
Irony has become so commonplace that it no longer revolts.
It just confirms that in this country, the government no longer tolerates even the shadow of opposition. / CNA
