Even Mero Baze, in his publications, calls the Constitutional Court's decision on May 25 a victory for Erion Veliaj.

 Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani also expressed the same opinion today before the hearing, expressing his conviction that Veliaj would be released from prison today.

Unlicensed lawyer Idajet Beqiri has also expressed his conviction for Veliaj's freedom, stating that the Supreme Court, following the Constitutional Court's decision, is obliged to release Veliaj.

 

" The Constitutional Court has called the decision of the First Instance, Appeals and the Supreme Court on the security measure against Veliaj unconstitutional. The Supreme Court is obliged to overturn the Appeals decision and the Appeals is obliged to implement the Constitutional Court's decision, his measure will be lifted and he will no longer be in prison ," Idajet Beqiri said on May 25 in Reporti.

 

All these people who come out and express their conviction that Velliaj will be released from prison and "sell" the Constitutional Court's decision as a victory for the mayor, appear in the government and propaganda media.

Gjobaxhinjtë të sponsorizuar dhe nga vëllai i kryebashkiakut Veliaj, Arbër Veliaj. Të gjithë këta dolën me një tezë: Meqenëse Mirlinda Karçanaj pati një ndryshim të masës së sigurisë, nga “Arrest shtëpie” në “Detyrim paraqitje” dhe ndaj kryebashkiakut Veliaj do të ndryshohej masa e sigurisë nga “Arrest me burg” në “Arrest shtëpie”, megjithëse ai kishte kërkuar “Detyrim paraqitje” për të ushtruar detyrën.

Argumente tallava mediatike, kanalet e ujrave të zeza që përzihen me ujërat e bardha, të sponsorizuar, militantë, injorantë, infantilë, të gjithë së bashku, zdromsa, këllira mediatike, të mbledhur, të përdredhur thanë se sot ishte dita e shpëtimit për kryebashkiakun e Tiranës.

Në fakt këtë e argumentonin më shumë dhe me vendimin e dhënë për Mirlinda Karçanajn. Po ku ndryshon?

Janë katër pika ku ndryshon çështja e Erion Veliajt me çështjen e Mirlinda Karçanajt dhe pse vendimi i gjykatës është i ndryshëm në rastin e ish-drejtoreshës së ASKHI-t.

Së pari, ish-drejtoresha e ASKHI-t nuk është në detyrë, por është larguar nga funksioni i saj dhe nuk rrezikon provat. Ndërsa Erion Veliaj vazhdon të qëndrojë në detyrë. Pikë kjo që sjell dhe ndryshimin e dytë, atë të prishjes së provave.

Është e faktuar se Erion Veliaj  prish provat, në më shumë se sa një rast. Veliaj është në detyrë dhe prish provat, Karçanaj nulk është në detyrë dhe nuk i “helmon” dot provat.

Thirdly , Mrs. Karçanaj is a single mother with children and has been granted a mitigating measure. While Erion Veliaj is not a single parent, on the contrary, during the time he is in prison, his wife is already pregnant and expecting another child.

Fourth, Erion Veliaj has 13 serious criminal charges, Mirlinda Karçanaj has much fewer charges, unlike the mayor of Tirana, who should actually have been charged and as part of a structured criminal group as the court recommended in the case of Elman Abule.
