Rainfall intensity decreases/ How is the situation in the Lezha region?

Rainfall in the territory of the Lezha region continues with low to medium intensity. According to data from the Gjadër Military Meteorological Station, 30 mm of rain has fallen as of 06:00 today. The Lezha Prefecture has issued updates regarding the situation in all municipalities of the region.

In the Kurbin municipality , work continues on diverting the bed and reinforcing the embankment of the Drojë River, depending on the time and river flows. The working groups are also assessing the damage, while it is announced that OSHEE will continue working on repairing the Skuraj village line.

In the municipality of Lezha , work is underway to reinforce and raise the damaged embankment, with the help of DRUK, the municipality, the Armed Forces and private operators.

Work continues on assessing the damage and distributing aid, received from the Regional Disaster Management Agency yesterday and the portion that will arrive today (300 packages in total). The water level in agricultural areas in the areas of the administrative units of Zejmen, Kolsh, Shënkollë has decreased.

MZSH teams continue to work to remove water from basements/parking lots of buildings in Shëngjin and Lezha, while OSHEE has reported that the power supply is normal.

In the Mirditë municipality , two houses at risk of landslides are being monitored, while municipal vehicles, observing the rainfall, will intervene where it is most urgent. The Rrëshen-Bukmirë axis continues to be monitored and intervened, as there are segments at risk of collapse.

It is also reported that the working groups are continuing to identify and assess the damage. Water supply continues regularly, while electricity has been interrupted from time to time but has been restored.

The hydroelectric plants are all working at full capacity. The level of the Drin River has increased but is within non-problematic quotas, as is the level of the Mat River. /CNA
