"Recognize teachers' diplomas before 2015", Zhupa submits the

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa has submitted a new bill to the Parliament. According to her, this bill aims to restore equal financial treatment for around 11,000 teachers, guaranteeing them the same rights and financial rewards as their colleagues who graduated after 2015.

In a post shared on social media, Zhupa said that this draft law comes to the aid of teachers, who have waged a long legal battle since the approval of a Council of Ministers' Decision that invalidated their diplomas and treated them less than their colleagues who completed their studies after 2015.

Representatives of the United Albanian Education Union, who were present at the submission of the draft law, praised this initiative as an important step towards recognizing the contribution of teachers and improving their working conditions. Zhupa said that the Parliament should approve this draft law as soon as possible, in order to guarantee the rights of teachers and improve the quality of education in the country.

I submitted, in the presence of teachers and the president of the United Albanian Education Union, an important draft law that aims to protect the rights of teachers, who have been discriminated against after the approval of a Council of Ministers (VKM) that invalidated their diplomas before 2015.

Gentjana Hoxhallari, a primary school teacher, said: "After 25 years of work, my diploma is being devalued and I am not paid the same as my colleagues. This law is our hope to get the value we deserve."

Likewise, Teuta Langa, a physical education teacher, emphasized that, even after 38 years of work, her diploma has not been fully recognized and the financial reward is not equal to that of colleagues who completed their studies later.

Alma Lama, president of the union, said: "We are very honored that you supported us, this is the second time that you have come to our side. Because we also fought a battle in the Constitutional Court where the decision was divided 4 to 4 and we could not reach a decision."

This bill aims to ensure equal financial treatment for all teachers, regardless of the year they graduated, and to recognize their valuable contribution to education. This law is an opportunity to redress injustices and improve the careers, motivation, and remuneration of 11,000 teachers in the pre-university system.

I hope that this bill passes without political barriers and is approved as soon as possible, in the name of justice and support for teachers! / CNA
