Illegally appropriated/ Tirana Prosecution seizes 9000m2 of land in

He unjustly appropriated land and sold it for profit, the Tirana Prosecutor's Office seizes 9000m2 of arable land in Fushë-Prezë.

At the request of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana, 9,000 m2 of arable land in Fushë Prezë were seized.

Announcement:

Within the framework of the investigation into criminal proceedings no. 2754 of 2025 registered for 'Fraud' and 'Laundering of proceeds of crime', it emerged that citizen AT managed to acquire 9000m2 of land through fraud and breach of trust and then sold it for monetary gain.

The investigations began after citizen MD reported to the prosecutor's office that his grandfather's arable land, acquired under Law No. 7501, no longer appeared as his family's property.

From the investigations, it was concluded that this property had passed into the ownership of citizen AT even though the entire family was the owner and the property could not be sold or alienated without the approval and consent of the other members of the agricultural family, who were part of it in 1992.

From the administered documentation, it results that citizen AT owned this property. When asked about the purchase, citizen AT gave two versions about the property, once that the property belonged to his father and he has old documentation and then stated that he bought it. Meanwhile, there is no data that the above citizens had the ability to pay and the source to pay the amount of money of 62,203,500 lek or (450,000 Euro) paid for the purchase of the property. Citizen AT donated this property in 2016 to citizen BV, represented by proxy by AV. This citizen explained that he purchased the above property for 100,000 Euro from AT.

From the entirety of the investigation, it resulted that citizen AT defrauded citizen HD, taking his property and transferring it to his ownership. /CNA
