The Fair of Saint John Vladimir, the glorified and wonderworking king, is held

On June 3-4, 2025, the annual fair of Saint John Vladimir, the glorified and wonderworking king, was held in Shijon, Elbasan, in the monastery that bears the name of this great saint of our church, under the direction of His Beatitude, Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, Bishop Joan.

To honor the memory of the saint, hundreds of believers, clergy and laity gathered from all over the country, but also from neighboring countries: Montenegro, North Macedonia, etc.

The Divine Liturgy and the service of the saint were presided over by the Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, His Beatitude, Bishop Joani, in conjunction with the Metropolitan of Elbasan, His Grace Andoni; the Bishop of Kruja, His Grace Anastas, and local and regional clergy.

The celebrations of this day began on the evening of June 3, in Agripnia led by the Metropolitan of Amantia, His Grace Nathanael, and this morning, ending with the litany of the saint's relics around the church.
