The police of Korça have handcuffed the 35-year-old man with the initials GM, who was caught transporting 5 illegal immigrants who were found in his Benz vehicle.

The author did not obey the police order to stop and tried to leave the scene. It is learned that the 35-year-old transported immigrants for payment.

The coded police operation "Midnight 10" is finalized, for cracking down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, against payment, for illegal border crossing.

A 35-year-old man was arrested, who was caught transporting 5 illegal immigrants and disobeyed the order of the police officers.

The police informs that the citizen with the initials GM, 35 years old, resident of Durrës, was arrested and the vehicle, a mobile device and a sum of money were seized.

Citizen GM, having just realized that he was being chased by the Police, tried to leave quickly in a vehicle, disobeying the order of the Police officers to stop, but was immediately caught and neutralized. During the search in the "Benz" type vehicle, 5 illegal immigrants were found.

From the entirety of the investigative actions and the evidence provided, it turned out that the 35-year-old would transport the immigrants, against payment, in order to cross illegally to the EU countries.

As material evidence, the vehicle, a mobile device and a sum of money were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
