Begaj hosts a delegation of the Council of American Ambassadors at the Presidency

Today, President Begaj received a delegation from the Council of American Ambassadors at the Presidency.

The Council of American Ambassadors was chaired by the President of this Council, Ambassador Timothy A. Chorba.

Former senior American diplomats are visiting Albania as part of a regional fact-gathering tour.

The visits are taking place in three countries of the Western Balkans, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia

President Begaj introduced the former American diplomats to the reforms and steps taken to consolidate democratic institutions and the rule of law.

In particular, President Begaj focused on Albania's contribution to peace, stability and building the spirit of good neighborliness in the region.

"Membership in the European Union remains the biggest strategic priority of Albania and Albanians", said President Bajram Begaj.

Special attention was paid to the developments in Ukraine, as well as the role of Albania's contribution to the United Nations Security Council./ CNA.al
