The editor of BIRN, Besar Likmetaj, spoke about the affair of the century, that of the incinerators, where he stated that the incinerator of Tirana, which does not exist, continues to be paid from the pockets of Albanian citizens.

There are problems with the way the investigation was done regarding the incinerator affair. Unfortunately, the accusations that we see in the media today are sponsored by interest groups that have access to certain media and sponsor their agenda against certain prosecutors. This does not mean that the prosecution's investigation is professional or that the prosecution's investigation is pursuing a matter of public interest.

This simply means that there are interest groups or parties involved in this very dirty criminal pyramid affair when Albanian citizens only lose, who continue to fight each other when at this moment justice should have placed the groups at least in some kind of state of sequestration of interest or to preserve the Albanian taxpayers' money as much as possible", he emphasized./ CNA.al
