The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, during his speech at the conference on the topic "Judicial practice of the Supreme Court, from national identity to universal values", in the framework of the 110th anniversary of the creation of the Supreme Court and the National Day of Justice, expressed that the Reform in Justice has not been easy, since its establishment and realization, including challenges and obstacles, have brought delays beyond the legal provisions.

Begaj underlined that quality in justice is and should be the measuring criterion to determine the work of all actors involved.

" In these 110 years, our political history has had a difficult journey.

The path of Albanian Justice in search of an independent justice, establishing equality before the law.

Local and international actors have a contribution to building a transparent justice system.

The Supreme Court has an irreplaceable contribution, the goal of reform started in 2014 culminated with the approval of the Constitutional amendments in 2016.

The reform has not been easy because its establishment and implementation, including challenges and obstacles, have brought delays beyond the legal provisions.

Access to justice must be guaranteed through the correct implementation of the judicial map.

Guaranteeing the independence of the system which is the reason for the justice reform.

Quality in justice is and should be the measuring criterion to determine the work of all actors involved.

Regardless of the fact that the accumulated work presents challenges and problems, I want to congratulate you.
