The Director General of the State Police, Chief Madhor Muhamet Rrumbullaku, welcomed a delegation of the Guardia di Finanza from the Maritime Center of Formia, Italy, headed by Brigadier General Antonello Maggiore, to the premises of the General Directorate of the State Police.

During this meeting, in a very friendly atmosphere, cooperation, partnership, professionalism and mutual trust were appreciated, on which the relationship of the State Police with the colleagues of the Guardia di Finanza has been built for more than two decades.

The partnership with the colleagues of the GDF has been concretized with the absolute readiness of both parties to contribute to joint controls, patrols, monitoring, exchange of experiences and assistance with modern police equipment.

This constant cooperation has been finalized with hundreds of joint operations against the cultivation of narcotic plants, illegal traffic, oil smuggling and against other border crimes.

The General Director has presented to the colleagues of the GDF, a film material that presented the trajectory of the development of cooperation with Italian partners and the results of the work of the State Police, during the first 6 months of this year. During this meeting, the General Director also appreciated the contribution of the Security Experts office at the Italian Embassy in Albania and the GDF units in Durres and Vlora.

Both sides expressed readiness and full commitment to further strengthen the bridges of cooperation, which as a result of professionalism and mutual trust, have generated very positive results in the fight against illegalities and for the benefit of the citizens of both countries./ CNA .co.uk
