"Trafficking in 3 continents"/ Artan Hoxha: Albanians went from mules of hashish to tons of cocaine

Journalist Artan Hoxha commented today on the completely changed situation in the last decade with the illegality of narcotics.

Hoxha began his speech with an irony directed at the institutions.

"At least they have started keeping statistics. Before, it's not that they didn't keep them, but we weren't so regular," said Hoxha.

As Hoxha emphasized on "Syri TV", over the course of 10 years, there was a very sharp transition from the problem of hashish being transported using simple methods, to cases of tons of cocaine in Albanian containers around the world.

"If until 2015-2016 we were dealing with hashish mules, which could carry up to 120 kg, we have moved on to containers with tons of cocaine. We have gone out into the open world and if you ask or look at the files, the activity is carried out mainly abroad and on three continents, but the origin of those who deal with this type of trafficking is from Albania", said Hoxha. /CNA
