Checks for prohibited items were conducted in the prisons of Fushë Kruja and Peqin.

In a statement, the Directorate of Prisons says that during the checks carried out at the Fuhsa Kruja prison, 3 mobile phones were found.

Meanwhile, a cell phone was found and seized in Peqin prison.

Stop prohibited items at Fushë Krujë Prison and Peqin Prison

Following the surprise and intensified checks in the penitentiary system, other cases of possession of prohibited items have been identified and cracked down on:

At the Fushë Krujë Prison, during a search of the outdoor premises, 3 mobile phones were found.

At the Peqin Penitentiary Institution, based on operational information, the Police Directorate Forces conducted a search, where 1 mobile phone was identified and seized.

In both cases, the relevant procedural actions were immediately carried out and the Internal Control Service of the Prison System was notified for further procedural actions.

The checks will continue without interruption, with zero tolerance for any violation and with a clear focus on guaranteeing security in the penitentiary system.
