Socialist MP Erion Braçe, invited to today's episode of the "Allishverishi" podcast, said that Tirana has a big problem, which is that it has not been governed for a long time.

He stated that the capital is on the verge of the year 2000, while adding that the villages of Tirana are increasingly moving away from agriculture and towards construction.

"Tirana has been ungovernable and ungovernable for a long time. Tirana is completely at the limits of the year 2000 when Edi Rama came and tried to impose law in this city. The village of Tirana is degrading by going to the construction sector and fleeing from agriculture at terrible pace. This city is without agriculture, without livestock and without direct supplies from the village. Tirana is neither self-governing nor being governed ," said the MP.

While a few weeks ago he offered himself as a candidate for the Tirana municipality, Braçe said that he does not aim for any prime minister or mayor position, as according to him, those who have held this position have done.

"I don't want Edi Rama's place. I'm not running for prime minister or party leader. I want the job of Tirana's foreman ," said Braçe.

Asked by journalist Bledi Mane what would happen to housing prices if he became mayor, he expressed criticism of the way construction is being carried out in the capital.

"In Tirana, construction is bad. In Tirana, construction is not being done for shelter or for living. I agree with Edi Rama that it is turning into an architecture museum. But, it is not being done so that we feel good," he said. /CNA
