Visit to Zagreb/ Berisha meets with former Croatian President

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, as part of their three-day visit to Zagreb, held a meeting with the former president of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic.

During the meeting, Berisha was critical of the current situation in Albania, emphasizing that unlike Croatia, which is already a member state of the European Union, Albania has regressed.

According to the DP leader, corruption, organized crime and the lack of free elections have negatively affected the country's European path.

On the other hand, former President Mesic stressed that Albanians should follow every democratic path to face the challenges and overcome the difficult situations the country faces. /CNA
