A 38-year-old citizen from Bangladesh has fallen into the hands of the police after he is accused of trying to help 4 immigrants who he had sheltered for 4 days in a Tirana hotel, to illegally cross the green border with Greece, against payment.

This was made possible thanks to the coded police operation "Destination 1",

The citizen with the initials MT, 38 years old, from Bangladesh, resident in Kamez, was arrested.        

As soon as he noticed the Police services, he left, but was identified, caught and handcuffed after the investigative and operational actions of the Police. 

As material evidence, 1 cell phone and 200 euros suspected to have benefited from this criminal activity were seized.

Investigations continue for the complete documentation of the case and the identification of the other citizens involved.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions./ CNA
