Corruption in Albania at maximum levels, this is what the citizens say

The Euronews Albania barometer, after measuring citizens' trust in SPAK and the new justice institutions, which resulted in the highest levels, this Friday brought their opinion on the level of corruption in the country.

The findings of the last week, from the data collected in the field by the Datacentrum team, say that despite the maximum trust in SPAK and justice, for Albanian citizens, corruption in the country continues to be at very high levels.

In total, there are 82.1% of citizens who think that the government is completely corrupt or there is a lot of corruption. Compared to a year ago, the drop in this perception is low.

In November 2021, citizens' perception of corruption in governance was approximately 10 percentage points higher than today, or 91.8% compared to 82.1%.

These measurements, both for the credibility of SPAK and the perception of corruption, clearly show that despite the support and trust of the citizens, the new bodies of justice have not yet managed to have a direct effect on reducing the level of corruption in Albania. ./ Euronews Albania
