The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, started his speech at the Congress of the Socialist Party by mentioning the Strasbourg decision for January 21.
He said that January 21 is a wound of pain, but we feel a little relieved since the Strasbourg decision has paved the way for justice.
Regarding the justice reform, he said that the justice institutions are in the consolidation phase.
"January 21 is the foundation test for democracy in Albania. January 21 is a wound of pain, but we feel a little relieved, since the decision of Strasbourg has paved the way for justice. Every spark for the restoration of violated rights on January 21 fills us with hope. That's why today's panel starts with justice, since this is where the state has its origins. I express my gratitude to every socialist who believed in Edi Rama. Now the new judiciary is composed of judges and prosecutors who have passed the vetting process. The reform has fulfilled its mission and the justice institutions are in the consolidation phase", said Manja./ CNA
