The head of the education trade union federation, Nevruz Kaptelli, says that a teacher is paid less than the cleaning lady of the ministry.

Kaptell says that the government has never prioritized education.

"If the teachers' salary will not motivate the graduates to go to the teaching branches, in a few years we will no longer have teachers. Those who have finished school with grades 5, that according to the salary that the teachers have, why should we go there. There is an average for teachers, but these are now optional. The average should be above 8. How can someone who comes from secondary education with low grades teach. The government has never prioritized education. Many teachers have left.

If teachers' salaries are not doubled immediately, not in July, but at the beginning of the year. If the work of the teachers is not appreciated, they are deprived of the remuneration they received of 10,000 lek at the end of the year, they are left with a salary lower than the cleaning lady of the ministry, with a salary lower than the drivers of the administrations, sometimes even water pipes, then, where is the future?", said Nevruz Kaptelli./ CNA
