Budget 2024/ Manastirliu: Support with scholarships for 3600 students from needy

The Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu has conducted a visit to the new school "Lidhja e Prizren" in Paskuqan.

In her speech delivered by this school, Manastirliu announced that over 3,600 students from needy families will be supported with scholarships in pre-university education.

"With the 2024 budget, over 3,600 students from needy families will be supported with scholarships in pre-university education," Manastirliu explained.  

The statement was made by the Minister of Education and Sports Ogerta Manastirliu, during the visit to the new 9-year-old school "Lidhja e Prizren" in Paskuqan. The new school has just opened its doors, following a complete government-funded rebuild, with a modern learning environment that will serve over 600 students and teachers.

Minister Manastirliu also announced the start of a new pilot program, which will help increase the level of knowledge and skills for students with low results, through reinforcement teachers.

"We are launching a new program, the school reinforcement and outreach program, which will be piloted in 30 schools across the country. there will be more than 80 teachers, who will be engaged in the territory and will have the opportunity to support students who have low results, through the reinforcement program", said the Minister of Education and Sports during the visit to the new school "League of Prizren".

The 9-year-old school "Lidhja e Prizren" in Paskuqan, after complete reconstruction with funds from the Albanian government, will serve 600 students and 35 teachers in contemporary conditions and standards. With the 2024 budget, about 30 school buildings will be completed, while new construction sites will be opened throughout the country./ CNA
