A 55-year-old man has fallen into the hands of the Gjirokastra police, after he was wanted for taking 2000 euros from a 63-year-old woman by deceiving her in communications on social networks, the 55-year-old man was caught and put in handcuffs.

The arrested person is a citizen of FK, 55 years old, resident in Tirana.     

The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër has assigned this citizen the security measure "Prison arrest", for the criminal offense "Fraud", committed in cooperation, as it is suspected that this citizen, on 13.09.2023, benefited from 2000 euros from a 63-year-old citizen, deceiving her in communications on social networks.     

The investigative work continues to identify the citizens involved in this fraud case.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office of Gjirokastra, for further actions./ CNA
