Tender for the Korçë-Ersekë road/ ARRSH prepares the procedure,

The completion of the Korçë - Erseke road will require additional funds, as the Albanian Road Authority has prepared the tender for the second part of Lot II. This department anticipates opening the procurement procedure, with a limited fund of about 432.3 million ALL, which will go to the construction of this part of the road. The initial tender for this segment took place in 2022 and had a limit fund of 2.16 billion lek, while together with the first part of lot 2, the cost for the axis with a length of 4.15 km was about 19.5 million euros.

According to data from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, currently the Korçë-Ersekë road axis has a length of 45 kilometers, while with the completion of the new segment the distance will be shortened to 35 kilometers. The works on this axis started as early as 2013, while in September 2018, the works were completed in a length of 17.6 km that included only the first lot. Afterwards, works started for lots 2 and 3, as the deadline for the completion of the works was initially February 2023, reports SCAN TV.

The Korçë-Ersekë road is a key axis in the south-eastern region, while the project envisages changes to the current road, avoiding some of the segments, which in winter present problems due to frost and snow.
