The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, has ordered the State Police to destroy the criminal groups involved in the trafficking of narcotics.

He says that the public and every Albanian family expect the State Police to continue to take more responsibility towards every young man and woman, who today do not know enough about the great risks to their health and families, while falling into the trap of narcotics offenders.

The minister also spoke about the recent police actions where he said that six people were detained and numerous doses of cocaine and cannabis were seized in entertainment venues.

"The State Police is hitting the networks of narcotics distributors, scoring concrete results. Only during the last 48 hours, police actions in Gjirokastër, Lezhë, Mirdë, Berat and Durrës have detained six people and seized numerous doses of cocaine and cannabis in entertainment venues frequented by young people. While I guarantee the public for a systematic attack on this phenomenon with daily results, I repeat the message to the State Police about the necessity of destroying the criminal groups involved in the trafficking of narcotics. The public and every Albanian family expect that the State Police will continue to take more responsibility towards every young man and woman, who today do not know enough about the great risks to their health and families, while falling into the trap of criminals narcotics. That's why the State Police today has the #SchoolSafetyPackage and the fight against the distribution of narcotics as the main priorities," said Balla./ CNA
