The task force of the regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company in Shkodra is conducting inspections of all entities, including subscribers. These inspections are being conducted in cooperation with the task force of the National Water Supply Agency regarding arrears, illegal network connections and the implementation of wastewater treatment plants.

"The AKUK task force is supporting the Water Supply and Sewerage task force in relation to the on-site inspection of entities or subscribers, which result in illegal connections and overdue debts. All entities that have a legal obligation to implement a wastewater treatment plant will also be inspected," said Greta Fasko, Task Force Inspector, AKUK.

The Task Force Inspector also has an appeal for all entities and subscribers who may have drilling to separate the pipeline network from that of the water supply company to avoid possible fines.

"Subjects or subscribers who use network water and borehole water have a legal obligation to be careful to separate them, so that there is no intersection of the network in order to avoid administrative measures," said Fasko.

The main goal is not to impose fines, but to cooperate with family entities and subscribers.

"The task force will be constantly in the territory of the Shkodra Municipality for further inspections as our main goal is not to impose administrative measures, but to closely cooperate with citizens and raise their awareness," added the inspector.

The AKUK Shkodër task force, together with groups from Tirana, will continue these checks without interruption in all areas of the Shkodër District for the best possible use of water and the prevention of all possible violations in the water supply network./CNA
