DOCUMENTARY ON CNA/ Baba Mondi, a tribute to the Legend Dede Reshat

CNA brings the documentary "Continue on the path of wisdom, Baba Mondi, the legacy of the Legend Dede Reshat", a documentary made by journalist Ferdinand Samarxhi, in January 2023.

Tonight, starting at 8:30 PM, CNA TV viewers will have the opportunity to watch a full 35 minutes of informative material that addresses the history and development of Bektashism in Albania. 

The documentary presents the spiritual and institutional journey of this faith, from the arrival of Sari Salltik in Albanian lands, to the establishment of the Bektashi World Patriarchate in Tirana.

An important part of the documentary is the period of leadership of Dede Reshat Bardhi, who after the 1990s restored the religious and organizational activity of the Bektashis, as well as the continuation of this tradition under the leadership of Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj (Baba Mondi), the current World Grandfather of the Bektashis.

The documentary analyzes the role of Bektashism in Albanian history, culture and identity, presenting figures, events and moments that have influenced the development of this religious order.
