Head of the Albanian Supreme Audit Office, Arben Shehu: Our work is not aimed at punishing anyone

The head of the Supreme Audit Institution, Arben Shehu, while reporting on the institution's activities for 2024, requested more support from the committee for the work of the Supreme Audit Institution.

Shehu emphasized that the work of the SAI is not aimed at punishing anyone but at regulating all institutions in their work.

"I would ask you to support us more in our work because we assure you that our work is not aimed at punishing anyone but at regulating all institutions in their work, with the aim of increasing institutional interaction and focusing on the preservation of public property, the preservation of public finances. I also ask for the opportunity to have communications about the inability we have to carry out certain processes in the right way and at the right time, respecting deadlines and handling them with a professional level," said Shehu./ CNA
