The member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Gent Strazimiri, has spoken about the accusations against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, while also attacking the Special Prosecutor's Office.

During his statement in the media, Strazimiri stated that SPAK is directed by the government and works where Prime Minister Edi Rama tells him, who according to him has dirty hands from corruption.

Strazimiri is pessimistic saying that we should not expect anything from SPAK.

"SPAK is stuck in this situation, SPAK acts where the government tells it with its outstretched hand, where Edi Rama tells it with his dirty hands in corruption. Do not expect anything from SPAK. With what has happened, the need to reconceive once again, to think, do we really want the freedom we seek or not is added even more.

We really want to live in a democratic system, where powers are separated, where the prime minister is afraid of justice and does not direct justice. Where you don't have to be afraid to denounce government corruption because if you denounce it you rise in society, they don't just accuse you of being corrupt just to make you dirty.

These are issues that do not belong only to the DP, but to the whole society. When I say society, I mainly mean that cerebral part of society, which makes society as a single body react.

I personally, with many friends and colleagues led by Sali Berisha, have no intention of moving, we will stay here and opposite until the end. Those who have decided and will stay here with us, are still enough. Others will join us because it is impossible for everyone to surrender. Evil cannot reign indefinitely", said Gent Strazimiri./ CNA
